Art i bobl – Art for People
At the heart of my work is a simple idea: art should be for everyone. Art i bobl — Welsh for Art for People — is more than a motto; it’s the reason I create. My goal is to make artwork that isn’t locked away in galleries, but something you can enjoy in your home, wear proudly, or give as a meaningful gift.
I also believe in supporting and celebrating other local artists. Places like The Drawing Board in Wrexham, where I’ve had the privilege of displaying and selling my work, do a marvellous job in keeping local creativity alive and accessible.
Inspired by Place and Heritage
I am an artist from Caergwrle, Flintshire, deeply inspired by the rich heritage, landscapes, and architecture of North Wales. My work often explores the connection between people and place.
I have a keen interest in many forms of art, with a particular love for Impressionism — capturing a moment in time through texture, mood, and colour. My father, a graphic designer, has also shaped my visual language. His style — geometric, clean, and simple, reminiscent of classic railway travel posters — remains a strong influence in my own work.
From Canvas to Everyday Life
My collections bring art into everyday life — not just as paintings on a wall, but as stationery, clothing, and home décor. Each piece is created to celebrate beauty, culture, and creativity in forms that people can use, share, and enjoy daily.
The 41e T-Shirt Range
Alongside my art-inspired collections, I design the 41e range of T-shirts, a bold and contemporary celebration of the Welsh language. As a Welsh learner myself, I believe that incidental, everyday use of the language is key to building confidence and fluency. These designs are playful, modern, and proudly local — a way to wear both heritage and identity with style.
Why I Create
For me, art is about sharing stories and sparking connections. Whether it’s a calendar on the wall, a notebook in your bag, or a T-shirt you wear on the weekend, I want my work to be part of people’s lives.
That’s what Art i bobl is all about.
